Email has been declared dead so many times it should have a loyalty card at the funeral home.
Yet here you are, reading another email. There’s a reason this stubborn bastard keeps surviving and it’s the reason I’m still betting on it: The Lindy Effect. This idea, popularized by one of my favorite authors, Nassim Taleb, is the reason why I’m bullish on email in the age of AI. If you haven’t read his books, ya need to. Anywhoodles... The Lindy Effect, by definition, is this: A theory stating that the longer a non-perishable thing has survived, the longer it is expected to keep surviving. Think of the Lindy Effect as aging in reverse. The longer a book, song, piece of content, or, in this case, marketing channel is around, the more likely it is to survive over the coming decades. Take a look at the author Seneca, for example. The books and ideas of Seneca, an ancient Roman philosopher and entrepreneur, have been selling better than ever… …despite being 2,000-plus years old. According to the Lindy Effect, this means Seneca’s teachings should survive another 2,000 years. So what does this have to do with email marketing? Well, everything. Email is the oldest communication channel on the web. I could be wrong, but the first email ever sent was in the 1970s. There’s a reason why email is called the cockroach of the internet. And while online marketing platforms like AOL Instant Messenger, MySpace, and Vine have kicked the bucket… Email is still at the top of the totem pole. And according to Lindy, email will continue to survive and thrive for decades to come. So there’s your spicy insight from a neck-tattooed marketer who has seen the good, the bad, and a whole lotta ugly… You’re welcome! And if you’re looking to master the greatest lead generation tool, cold email, then make sure you hop on the ol’ waitlist by clicking here. Ciao, Parker |

Whenever I feel stuck or impatient, or I’m leaping around like a pissed-off gorilla about a lack of progress, I have an interesting thought exercise that punches this monkey-brained frustration straight in the kisser... Ready? It all starts with getting your journeyman’s license. In the States, it took me 5 years of being an apprentice… To eventually get my journeyman’s license. Meaning it literally took 5 years to be considered qualified to work on your own without supervision. We had a...
There’s nothing worse than hopping on a sales call and having the prospect tell you they’re not interested before you’ve even had a chance to explain yourself. They’re irritated. you’ve got 5 minutes, ain't nobody having a good time. And that was me last week. In the first few minutes, the prospect practically shook their fists through the screen while telling me they weren’t interested in my services… …but were willing to hear my pitch. Zoinks, Scoob! Now, I’m taking about 10–15 sales calls...
Most folks think getting more cold email leads means: Buying more inboxes. Scraping a bigger list. And blasting enough emails to make the internet beg for mercy. Then they wonder why nobody bites, and tell the whole internet that cold email doesn't work. Enter my wild neck tattoo idea: Find people who’ve already shown you they need what you sell...with signals. And I ain’t talking “is she into you?” signals. I’m talking about the activity, trails, and traces your ICP is leaving out in the...
