Read this if you’re “too busy” to write emails…

Yesterday I showed you how to turn one email into 10 digital assets in minutes…

But the curse of the neck tattoo struck again and reminded me that I had a blind spot that left my readers confused.

The blind spot?

Here’s the reply that made me slump in my chair:

“Sounds great Parker…but I don’t have the time (or mental bandwidth) to pump out value based emails every week. Let alone repurpose them.”

After reading this I put my feet on the desk, and looked out my window begging for the universe to provide me some wisdom…

And it did. In the form of a cosmic wet willy, with the quote from Charles Buxton:

“You will never find time for anything. If you want time, you must make it.”

You lack time because you’re not prioritizing your writing. And your writing, which is a transfer of energy and thoughts, is the foundation of your marketing…

Before you throw a rock at my head, let me explain…

If you want to convert strangers into customers online you have two options:

1. Hire someone to write for you.

You’ve either got to pay the big bucks for a pro who doesn’t take shortcuts. Or you end up on the cheap side hiring someone who just asks ChatGPT “write an email for my client”, they give you a draft that should be used as toilet paper rather than content.

Or use…

2. The golden window method.

I can relate to not having the time to write.

I used to work 60 hour work weeks, commute 2 hours a day, hit the gym, eat then sleep on repeat.

So it was near impossible to write?

Wrong.

What I did was create a “golden window”, a slot of time that could not be interrupted or sacrificed. This was early on Sunday mornings where I gave myself 3 hours to write a week's worth of content.

Anything that interrupted this golden window was destroying my future.

Here’s how to create your golden window to crank out emails fast, and turn them into content in a matter of a few hours.

1. Choose a safe time.

If you’ve got family or work it can be tough to find a time.

But I recommend early mornings or late nights. I prefer early mornings because no one is awake, everything is quiet, and that’s when you have the highest peak of focus throughout the day.

2. Collect information like your life depends on it

While commuting for work I’d listen to audiobooks or podcasts. With audio books I could hit one button and “bookmark” clips that I found valuable.

During lunch I’d read, and before bed I’d read as well.

The day before my golden window I would compile all of my weekly notes into one place. That way I had a treasure chest of information waiting for me when I sat down to write.

3. Outline topics based on viral YouTube content

YouTube is freaking nuts.

There are likely hundreds (if not thousands) of creators in your market. Search the name of your market and see what posts have the most views.

YouTube creators are experts at:

  • Titles (use as subject lines)
  • Hooks (use as opening intros to emails)

This strategy removes the guesswork of “is this a good topic to write about?”

Simply, use a YouTube title for each day of the week.

Then look at your notes to create bullet points for each email.

It should look something like this:

Monday:

  • Subject line
  • Hook
  • Problem
  • Solution
  • Call to action

Write a sentence for each then expand on it. Then repeat this for each day of the week.

Don’t forget:

Your emails don’t have to be 1500 words long. Research shows that the best performing emails are only 100-300 words long.

When you keep it simple you keep it possible.

It’s no secret that business owners are more stressed than ever before. Heck, my highest earning months used to be the most miserable. Until a mentor told me to use a Profit Satisfaction Matrix.
