One of the worst decisions I made was waiting to have a big audience and list to sell my first course.

I thought the more attention I had the more money I'd make...

Yeah, I was that guy. The one who thought success was measured in follower counts rather than actual revenue.

And as a douchebag with a neck tattoo always does, I learned the hard way.

I spent all of my time creating content which meant zero business. So here are 2 truths that social media influencers don't want you to know:

1.) There are "influencers" out there with millions of followers who can barely afford their avocado toast.

2.) There are people without an audience or email list that are making millions.

If I had to start my online biz from scratch today. I'd sell a course on my expertise. And I'd sell it without an email list.

Using Russell Brunson's Dream 100 method.

Here's how it works without the marketing BS:

1.) Make a list of 100 people in your industry who rock.

2.) Reach out to them about promoting your course

3.) Get rejected 99 times

4.) Have that one person say yes

5.) Use that yes to get more yeses

Why this actually works (unlike most marketing advice):

The beauty here is that it's based on actual human psychology rather than some B.S. metrics. When one respected person in your industry promotes your stuff...

...Others start seeing you as less of a potential scammer and more of a legit option.

It's like dating.

Nobody wants to be the first person to say yes. But once someone does, suddenly you're not such a bad option after all.

My point?

Stop obsessing over what you don't have (a massive email list) and start leveraging what you do have (your expertise and the ability to reach out to people who matter).
