My business partner loves the s**t I hate…

Trying to fix everything you suck at might be the reason your business is stuck.

Somewhere out there is a person who loves doing the tasks that make your skin crawl.

Finding that person has been the biggest unlock for me in 2026.

And that’s coming from a guy with a bad neck tattoo.

Let me explain...

I’ve got a thick cranium.

It’s covered in wrinkles, either because of the decade I spent working outside (or the daily electrocutions from my past line of work). And this caused me to have the radical self-belief that I can do everything on my own.

I can just bulldoze through walls with hard work and figure out everything myself.

Most entrepreneurs believe this too.

But this belief is like an anchor wrapped around your ankle, causing you to drown instead of ascend.

That’s why you need a business partner.

With the right business partner, their strengths can mask your weaknesses. As a tag-team duo, you can smack down any challenge in your way…

…if you work with the right person.

You see, I cofounded my cold email agency, IronPeak Marketing, with Charlie Bennett. A friend of mine I connected with years ago on something called Twitter (RIP).

And partnering with Charlie is the number 1 reason my cold email biz is growing faster than any business I’ve started.

  • I suck at tech. Charlie lives and breathes tech.
  • Charlie is a classy chap from London, and I’m a goofball from the Appalachians.
  • I like to bulldoze tasks with hard work. Charlie finds the laziest way possible to get work done.

And the best business partnership advice I’ve ever heard came from an episode of Tim Ferriss’s podcast. It went something like this:

The best business partner is someone you can see yourself spending a night in jail with.

Trust me, I could see that happening, lol.

Anyway, the point is this.

Instead of stretching yourself thin trying to muscle your way through business growth, take a look at those around you.

Whose skills are complementary to your own skills?

Having a business partner has been the hugest unlock for me in 2026, and I no longer plan to take on future business endeavors on my own.

Fair warning:

Do not partner with someone who has the same skill set as you. This will hold you back as both of you battle for who gets to do what they want.

Charlie does the tasks that make my skin crawl, and I do the tasks that make Sir Charles sick as a rotten apple.

There’s no friction.

Find your weaknesses, talk to some of your homies, and see what kind of tag-team duo you can create to make the market your beesh.

Ciao,
Parker

Wanna hear something funny, wildly ironic, and so terrifying it almost made me go back to being an electrician? OK. Here it goes… It was 2022, and I decided to take the big leap of leaving my cushy, high-paying job running electrical construction. That’s a mouthful, I know, but stick with me here. Because I promise this story might sound like it’s only about me, but it’s actually all about you. Literally, the day I landed in Brazil to go all in as an online writer, the internet erupted… With...

Your next client could be telling you is sending signals for your services. Without ever asking you for help. Meanwhile, you’re burning an arseload of time trying to convince the wrong people they need your offer. This is why the difference between demand generation and demand capture is so important. And to explain it, we need a mountain and a big honking rock… Picture yourself looking at a mountain. And in front of you is a massive boulder. To obtain your business goals, you have to get...

Email has been declared dead so many times it should have a loyalty card at the funeral home. Spam filters. Facebook Messenger. Apple messing with open rates. Yet here you are, reading another email. There’s a reason this stubborn bastard keeps surviving and it’s the reason I’m still betting on it: The Lindy Effect. This idea, popularized by one of my favorite authors, Nassim Taleb, is the reason why I’m bullish on email in the age of AI. If you haven’t read his books, ya need to....
