First Google slapped Russell Brunson. Then Elon slapped me. And a couple weeks ago, Manus decided it wanted a turn. Weirdly enough, getting slapped around has taught me one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in business. Here's the dealio: A lesson that’s forever seared into my consciousness comes straight outta a Russell Brunson book. “The Google Slap” In Traffic Secrets, Brunson talks about the dangers of solely relying on one channel for traffic. Because, as I’m sure you’re aware, all it takes is one algorithm change to nerf your traffic into the ground. Brunson explains how this happened when he relied on Google Ads, only for Google to make some updates, causing Brunson’s cost per click to shoot beyond the heavens. Making his funnel unprofitable... I’ve learned this lesson the hard way while relying solely on X to get traffic to my business. All it took was an Elon takeover to destroy the traffic to my business overnight. Leaving me scrambling and frantic for another solution. That lesson taught me a lot. In fact, having my source of traffic destroyed overnight was the best thing that ever happened to me. Here’s why: If you’ve been following along in these emails, then you know I’m a big fan of Manus. Manus is an agentic AI LLM that is far superior in intelligence and memorization than any other AI on the market… …Hence, Manus is also the most expensive. A couple weeks ago, though, Manus decided to throw the old curveball into my business. They announced that the Chinese government rejected Meta’s buyout of Manus… Leading Manus to have to completely “reset” all of the systems I’d built on it. Which started with Manus restricting its most powerful model, 1.6 Max, and letting users use its much dumber model, 1.6, for free. I was forced to back up all of my data, projects, workflows, and systems for the ol’ reset…and without the use of 1.6 Max, I found my workflows sent back to the Stone Age. Basically, I got the “Manus slap.” My onboarding automations, cron jobs, and systems were buried into the ground. And I was left starting from scratch while also having the biggest intake of new clients I’ve ever had in my business. So I’m screwed, right? Nope. Because, like I said before, getting the “X” slap from Elon was the best thing that ever happened to me. I’d created diagrams of my workflows, backup folders with videos of my SOPs, Google Docs covering step-by-step guides of my systems… And I was able to bounce over to ChatGPT in a day, recover what was lost, and keep the business moving forward. The point is this… There’s an old expression in the military that goes something like: “One is none, and two is one.” Relying solely on one AI tool, one source of traffic, one of anything is a recipe for disaster in this fast-changing world. You gotta have a backup. In fact, you should have a backup to your backup. This is a problem I see with a lot of businesses nowadays. They rely on one source of client acquisition, usually referrals from one partner. And if that partner gets upset? That source of traffic gets the old “slap.” This is the biggest reason I’m announcing the “Cold Gold” webinar… Inside, I’ll teach the cold outreach, email, and sales techniques that are getting our clients 45–90 leads a month, using multi-channel tactics you won’t find anywhere else. I basically never talk about the losses that come with growing a business. But in the last 90 days, I got slapped with an insane tax bill, lost three clients in 72 hours, and learned more than I have in years. Turns out, growth comes with a whole lotta “Ls.” Let me explain… As my agency has entered warp drive, I’ve found myself having to break out of my cocoon and turn into a pretty neck-tattooed butterfly. You see, the skills I had in place to have a six-figure business via freelancing or...

Years ago, I was at a crossroads in my career. I'd shot up the totem pole as an electrician, going from apprentice, to journeyman, to foreman, to superintendent. For those of you unfamiliar with the hierarchy of the trades… The superintendent is the big cheese of the entire construction site. As a strapping young lad with just 27 years of life under my belt, I thought I'd made the big time. At certain points I had 200-300 workers underneath me. But boy was that a frickin' nightmare. First of...
