Here's what to never do when marketing online and why. (If you get this wrong, you might become just another voice in a dead market)... I'll tell you that in a second. But first, here's the BIGGEST lesson I learned the hard way about online business... ...You've gotta market outside of the box. If you worry about your competition gobbling up your leads. Don't... Because your competition is a bunch of mindless zombies. All stumbling around the same playground. Trying to eat each other's brains. Social media platforms are a complete blood bath. Don't believe me? Think about this: How many creators do you see selling content creation to content creators? A lot. How many LinkedIn ghostwriters have you seen trying to get ghostwriting clients on LinkedIn? Mhmm... I call these folk "the cannibal warlords of social media". It's a cluster of copycats with the same bad offer. Targeting the same people. And the result is sad... People get spammed everyday with the same offers. The cold truth: This is a losing situation for EVERYONE. But there's a fix so simple a freaking caveman can do it. Offer your service outside the box. My good friend Vaughn is a ghostwriter on X and LinkedIn. But where did he find his clients? On Facebook Groups for Christian entrepreneurs. Vaughn knows his target. Who he wants to work with. And doesn't spam everyone for leads. He simply stepped outside the box. And made his own kingdom. Now that's what I call... Genius. Still not convinced? My friend Howard is an email marketer. He literally walked to his local locksmith shop and pitched his services. The result? The locksmith invited Howard to present his services at a locksmithing event. How many people do you think are pitching email marketing at a locksmith event? NONE. ONLY HOWARD. That's creative marketing at its finest. And for me?
